Hi! I'm Quigley ( yes, It's my real name - more on that in the FAQs )

 

I’m 47.
Over these years, I’ve covered a lot of ground.
My biggest take-away so far?

Lovely is in the little things.

Our biggest challenge is to be able to clear enough head space to notice.

To see and absorb the beauty in our everyday.
Each and every day.

And trust me.
I know ( I have 4 children and three are teenagers )...
Some days it can be quite tricky.

I’ve created Little Loving Things to remind you to

to the beauty in your everyday life.

Look. 

Life is crazy.
Hectic.
Messy.

But, life is also beautifully wonderful.

I know that.
So do you.

But, for me, it’s the little things…
a lovely smelling soap
some flowers on the table 
when someone offers to empty the dishwasher ( without being asked ten thousand times )
when my children actually want to have a quick chat or hug
a text from a cherished far away friend,
a morning cup of tea from my husband
painting in 30 second increments whilst making dinner
( yes, I paint in my kitchen )…

These are the things that I try to focus on.

These are the things that anchor and carry me through this beautifully messy quagmire called life.

PS - I forgot to mention, whilst raised in Santa Cruz, California, I've called Australia home for the past 21 years. So, yes, that literally makes me "Quigley Down Under" ( if any of you remember that Tom Selleck movie ). Aren't you glad you read to the end for that lovely bit of info.... ;)
